Bangkalan Regency in East Java recorded the use of 65,000 vaccine doses as of Wednesday, September 1, 2021. This figure represents a 42 percent increase compared to the previous day's usage of 46,000 doses.
Compared to other regions in East Java, the vaccination implementation in this regency yesterday experienced the highest surge. The local government implemented this as an effort to catch up on the vaccination program, which significantly lags behind the provincial average. Currently, the first dose vaccination coverage in Bangkalan has only reached 13%, while the provincial average has reached 34%.
According to daily data released by the Ministry of Health, the weekly average vaccination in this region is 2,145 doses. With an available vaccine stock of 100,000 doses, the estimated vaccine stock will be depleted in 47 days.
Regarding the provincial-level vaccination achievement, the total first dose vaccination in East Java has reached 31%, covering 10 million vaccine recipients. The second dose vaccination has reached 17%, covering 5.6 million vaccine recipients.
