The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 163 regencies/cities with a contact tracing rate (ratio of close contacts/confirmed cases/week) above the national average, currently recorded at 4.94 percent (data as of Thursday, March 3, 2022).
The top five regencies/cities with rates exceeding 29.3 percent are Pacitan (57.41 percent), Sukabumi City (44.95 percent), West Lombok (38.41 percent), North Tapanuli (29.78 percent), and Sampang (29.3 percent).
A recapitulation of national Covid-19 data from the Ministry of Health shows that contact tracing in most regencies/cities outside Java is declining. A daily increase in contact tracing compared to previous days was recorded in 104 regencies/cities, while 111 regencies/cities recorded lower tracing rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest tracing rates include West Lombok (38.41 percent), North Tapanuli (29.78 percent), and East Lombok (24.73 percent).
The government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
