The United Kingdom ranks first, with a weekly Omicron case growth of 7.32 percent. GISAID recorded 976,360 Omicron cases in the UK. Daily cases in this region increased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous day.
The United States follows, with a weekly Omicron case growth of 5.33 percent. The reported number of Omicron cases in the US is 776,430. Daily statistics show a 0.57 percent increase in Omicron cases compared to the previous day, which recorded 772,000 cases.
Next, the number of Omicron cases in Germany increased by 54.54 percent to 172,160 compared to the previous week, Denmark reported 167,910 Omicron cases (an increase of 8.04 percent), and France saw a 10.53 percent increase to 82,003 cases compared to the previous week.
In Indonesia, the number of Omicron cases recorded to date is 9,470, a 0.04 percent increase compared to the previous day. Since it was first monitored, the number of Omicron cases in Indonesia has continued to rise.
