Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest National Coverage of First Dose Elderly Vaccination (Wednesday, February 23, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded 268 regencies/cities with a first-dose elderly vaccination rate above the national average, currently recorded at 67.69 percent (data as of Wednesday, February 23, 2022).

The top five regencies/cities with first-dose elderly vaccination rates exceeding 124.71 percent are Solok City (173.34 percent), Central Jakarta City (168.41 percent), Bukittinggi City (153.31 percent), Padang Panjang City (148.61 percent), and Yogyakarta City (124.71 percent).

A national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the first-dose elderly vaccination coverage in most regencies/cities outside Java is increasing. A daily increase in first-dose elderly vaccination coverage compared to previous figures was recorded in 341 regencies/cities, while five regencies/cities recorded lower coverage.

Some of the areas outside Java with the highest first-dose elderly vaccination rates include Solok City (173.34 percent), Bukittinggi City (153.31 percent), and Padang Panjang City (148.61 percent).

The government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
