Singapore has the highest full Covid-19 vaccination rate in Southeast Asia. As of November 11, 2021, 86.25% of its population had received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
Cambodia is in second place, with 77.89% of its population fully vaccinated as of November 12, 2021. The full vaccination rates in Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam were 75.6% (as of November 13, 2021) and 66.16% (as of November 12, 2021), respectively.
Thailand's full vaccination rate was 51.18% as of November 12, 2021. Meanwhile, 37.63% of the population in Laos (as of October 28, 2021) and 34.39% in Vietnam (as of November 12, 2021) had received two vaccine doses.
Timor Leste and the Philippines had lower full vaccination rates than Indonesia. In Timor Leste, 28.44% of the population had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of November 9, 2021, while the Philippines' full vaccination rate reached only 22.6% as of October 21, 2021. Myanmar had the lowest rate in Southeast Asia, with 15.05% of its population having received two vaccine doses as of November 6, 2021.
Vaccination is crucial in reducing the risk of illness and death from coronavirus infection. Therefore, the public is urged to participate in the ongoing vaccination program.
