The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) noted that at least one regency/city has a Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) above 60%. Nationally, the average BOR this week is 2.13 percent. This is a decrease compared to last week's figure of 2.15 percent, based on data from Thursday, March 16, 2023.
The top five regencies/cities with the highest COVID-19 BOR exceeding 37.5 percent are Fakfak, Bima, Muna, Balangan, and Manggarai Timur, with values of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, 52.5 percent, 50 percent, and 37.5 percent respectively.
A national COVID-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows that the BOR in most regencies/cities outside Java has decreased. A daily BOR higher than the previous day was recorded in 17 regencies/cities, while 19 regencies/cities recorded a lower BOR.
Areas outside Java with the highest BOR include Fakfak, Bima, and Muna, with BORs of 100 percent, 57.14 percent, and 52.5 percent respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
