The Indonesian Ministry of Health released data showing that 69.98 million doses of booster vaccines have been administered in Indonesia as of Monday, February 27, 2023. This figure represents 29.82 percent of the national COVID-19 vaccination target. The national COVID-19 vaccination target is 234.66 million doses. The daily increase in COVID-19 booster vaccinations yesterday nationwide was recorded at 1,957 doses.
Based on provinces, West Java still holds the top position with the highest number of booster vaccine recipients nationally, reaching 15.79 million doses. Within West Java, Bogor Regency has the highest number of residents who have received the COVID-19 booster vaccine, with 1.62 million doses. This is followed by Bandung Regency (1.11 million), Bekasi City (1.01 million), Bekasi Regency (998,050), Cianjur Regency (928,600), and Bandung City (917,840).
Next is East Java, in second place, with 9.54 million booster vaccines administered. Within this province, Surabaya City has the highest number of booster vaccine recipients, at 1.33 million doses.
Central Java is in third place with 8.72 million booster vaccine doses administered. This is followed by Jakarta, North Sumatra, and Banten, with 5.44 million, 4.29 million, and 3.06 million booster vaccine recipients, respectively.
