The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded that 281 regencies/cities have elderly vaccination coverage based on KTP (Indonesian ID card) identity above the national average, which is currently recorded at 60.73 percent as of Saturday, December 10, 2022.
The top five regencies/cities with elderly vaccination rates exceeding 111.7 percent are Solok City, Garut, Aceh Singkil, Cirebon, and Sukabumi, with values of 124.21 percent, 121.13 percent, 115.86 percent, 115.77 percent, and 111.7 percent, respectively.
The national Covid-19 data recapitulation from the Ministry of Health shows an increase in elderly vaccination in most regencies/cities outside Java. Daily elderly vaccination rates higher than before were recorded in 249 regencies/cities, while six regencies/cities recorded lower elderly vaccination rates.
Areas outside Java with the highest elderly vaccination rates include Solok City, Aceh Singkil, and Tebing Tinggi City, with elderly vaccination rates of 124.21 percent, 115.86 percent, and 109.54 percent, respectively.
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
