Not White Skin, Clear Skin: The Ideal Skin Condition According to a Survey

JakPat's survey, in its *2021 Beauty Trends* report, reveals that clear skin is considered the ideal skin condition. 81% of respondents deemed clear skin as ideal.

Furthermore, 80% of respondents considered smooth skin as ideal, while 78% considered skin free from blackheads as ideal. 76% of respondents viewed bright skin as ideal.

Other ideal facial skin conditions, according to 73% of respondents, include supple skin. Following this, skin that is not oily and skin without fine lines were each considered ideal by 70% of respondents.

Despite numerous beauty product advertisements promoting white skin as the ideal, less than half of the respondents shared this view. Only 41% of respondents considered white skin as the ideal skin standard.

The same survey showed that 8 out of 10 women agree that skincare products are more important than makeup. Also, 8 out of 10 respondents (both women and men) believe that facial care is a form of investment in skin health.
