Social media advertisements on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok also significantly influence Indonesian Muslim consumers when purchasing halal food products, accounting for 14% of responses.

Other influential factors include trust in physical stores (13%), online product reviews (10%), influencer recommendations (10%), trying products purchased from stores (7%), and the availability of product delivery (7%).

Conversely, fewer respondents were influenced by the store's social media accounts, online advertisements, print media, or billboards/banners, as shown in the graph above.

The survey also revealed that a majority (93%) of respondents consider the halal logo on food products essential, making it a primary consideration for Muslim consumers when making purchases.

This survey was conducted via the Populix app in March 2023, involving 1,014 Muslim respondents across Indonesia. The majority of respondents were middle-class working professionals.
