Horticultural Farmers' Welfare in These 10 Provinces Was the Lowest Nationally in November 2021

The welfare level of horticultural farmers in South Sumatra (Sumsel) is recorded as the lowest among other provinces. This is reflected in the horticultural farmer exchange rate (NTPH) in Sumsel, which stands at 88.64 and is also lower than the national NTPH of 96.54.

Compared to the previous month, the Sumsel NTPH increased by 0.36 percentage points. This condition is in line with the increase in the index received by farmers (it) by 0.91 percentage points, while the index to be paid (ib) only increased by 0.55 percentage points.

An NTPH below 100 indicates that the welfare level of horticultural farmers in Sumsel has decreased by 11.36% compared to the initial position of the index calculation, namely 2018=100.

The next province with the lowest horticultural farmer welfare is Bali, with an NTPH of 89.65. This is followed by East Java with an NTPH of 90.23, North Maluku with an NTPH of 92.53, and North Sumatra with an NTPH of 93.32.

West Nusa Tenggara also has an NTPH of 93.49. Following this are Riau with an NTPH of 93.98, North Kalimantan with an NTPH of 94.01, and Central Sulawesi and Aceh with NTPHs of 94.01 and 94.83 respectively.
