These Are the 10 Largest IT Companies in the World in 2022, Microsoft at the Top

According to The Next Tech, Microsoft generated approximately US$161 billion in revenue, making it the world's largest IT services company in terms of revenue in 2022. Other major companies in the IT services market include IBM, with revenue exceeding US$57 billion, followed by Accenture and Oracle.

Two IT companies from India have successfully entered the list of the world's largest IT companies, namely TCS and Infosys. Citing IDX Channel, TCS, or Tata Consultancy Services, is currently one of the largest IT companies in Indonesia. Founded in 1968, the company's CEO and Managing Director is Rajesh Goinathan, and its headquarters are located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Indian IT companies specialize in IT consulting and services. Its parent company is the Tata Group, and it operates 149 locations in 46 countries. In 2018, TCS became known as the top IT company in India (preceding Reliance Industries), and its market capitalization exceeded US$100 billion.

Meanwhile, Infosys is the second-largest IT company in India after TCS based on 2021 revenue figures. Some of its key services include software services such as development, maintenance, and independent validation services for manufacturing, insurance, finance, and other institutions.

IT services refer to a large number of services and solutions used by businesses to assess, manage, and deliver information. These services include cloud computing, database management, and hardware deployment and support.

Specifically, these IT solutions assist in a variety of business functions and thus empower companies to remain agile and adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.

Based on the latest data released by the International Data Corporation, in addition to AI (artificial intelligence), the revenue of IT companies from software, hardware, and other IT services is estimated to have grown by 15.2 percent in 2021 to US$341.8 billion.
