Of the target 61 dams, 52 are estimated to have a storage capacity of 3,734.09 million cubic meters and the potential to supply water to 71 irrigation areas (DI). This includes 16 DI supplied by completed dams and 55 DI supplied by dams still under construction.

This dam construction is expected to increase the area of irrigated land with guaranteed water access. The total target for dam utilization for irrigation, based on dam design data, is 385,646 hectares (ha).

Currently, irrigated land supplied with water from dams reaches 10.66%, or 761,542 ha, out of the total potential irrigated area of 7.14 million ha in 2014. After the completion of 52 new dams, coverage is expected to increase to 17.43%, or 1.245 million ha.
