73% of respondents said they used coconut oil to replace palm oil cooking oil. Furthermore, 65% said they used margarine as a substitute for palm oil.

42% of respondents used olive oil as a substitute for palm oil cooking oil, 29% used butter, 27% used corn oil, 24% used sesame oil, and 20% used canola oil.

Furthermore, 18% used sunflower oil, 16% used ghee, and 12% used avocado oil.

Looking at socioeconomic class, the lower socioeconomic class most frequently used coconut oil (89%). Meanwhile, no one in the lower class used sesame oil, ghee, or avocado oil.

The Jakpat survey involved 1,004 female respondents and was conducted on March 7-8, 2022. Sample selection was adjusted to the proportion of Indonesian internet users, and the results have a margin of error of 3%.
