According to data from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), China is the world's largest producer of natural honey, with production reaching 458,100 tons in 2020.

The area in China known as the largest honey producer is Zhejiang Province. It is estimated that there are more than 1 million honey beehives spread across this province.

The next largest producer of natural honey in the world is Turkey, with production of 104,077 tons. This is followed by Iran (79,955 tons), Argentina (74,403 tons), and Ukraine (68,028 tons).
