Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), the real estate sector had the highest labor productivity in Indonesia in 2022.
According to Kemnaker's definition, labor productivity is the ratio between the output of goods/services and the labor used, both individually and collectively, within a specific time unit. This ratio reflects the magnitude of labor's contribution to economic activity.
Kemnaker calculates productivity using the formula of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) divided by the number of workers in each business sector.
As a result, in 2022, the real estate sector had a productivity figure of approximately Rp753.4 million/worker/year, the highest compared to other sectors.

On average, the national labor productivity value in 2022 reached Rp86.55 million/worker/year. This is the highest record in the last five years.
Cumulatively, during the 2018-2022 period, Indonesian labor productivity also increased by 4.8%.
