Thailand Open 2024 Runner-Ups Ana and Tiwi Rise in BWF Rankings

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) released the latest world rankings for women's doubles following the conclusion of the Thailand Open 2024.

In the tournament held in Bangkok from May 14-19, 2024, Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi were the only Indonesian team to reach the final.

However, the pair, known as Ana and Tiwi, lost to the home team, Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai, with a final score of 21-14 and 21-14.

Due to this achievement, Ana and Tiwi climbed one rank to 17th in the BWF rankings, with 57,274 points.

Meanwhile, Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai, the winners, remained stagnant at 11th place with 71,918 points.

The top spot in the women's doubles world rankings remains occupied by the Chinese pair, Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan, with 112,556 points.
