Next is West Java, contributing 10.92% with a production of 22,450 tons and a harvested area of 770 ha. Then Central Java contributed 10% with a production of 20,570 tons and a harvested area of 960 ha.

BPS also recorded that the value of turmeric exports in 2023 reached US$8.47 million.

Indonesia exported the most turmeric to India, with export value of US$5.46 million, followed by Singapore at US$529,350 and Malaysia at US$492,660.
