According to Perum Bulog's report, from the beginning of the year until October 5, 2025, the realization of rice distribution through the Indonesia's Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program reached 463.9 thousand tons.
This volume is equivalent to 30.9% of this year's SPHP rice distribution target, which totals 1.5 million tons.
The Indonesian government, through Perum Bulog, distributes SPHP rice to help stabilize rice prices at the consumer level.
SPHP rice is sold at a lower price than the highest retail price (HET) for medium-quality rice, and it is distributed through Perum Bulog's partner retailers in traditional markets, Koperasi Merah Putih, state-owned enterprise (BUMN) offices/outlets and government agencies, and modern retail networks.
Geographically, as of early October, the largest amount of SPHP rice has been distributed to the East Java Regional Office (Kanwil).
Below is a list of the top 10 regional offices with the highest SPHP rice distribution from the beginning of the year until October 5, 2025:
1. East Java Regional Office: 56,300.39 tons
2. Central Java Regional Office: 38,241.64 tons
3. West Java Regional Office: 36,779.82 tons
4. South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi Regional Office: 28,768.7 tons
5. North Sumatra Regional Office: 27,627.31 tons
6. DKI Jakarta and Banten Regional Office: 27,316.62 tons
7. Riau and Riau Islands Regional Office: 20,321.73 tons
8. NTT Regional Office: 20,288.4 tons
9. DI Yogyakarta Regional Office: 19,997.31 tons
10. South Sumatra Regional Office: 19,103.95 tons
According to Perum Bulog, domestic rice stock as of October 5, 2025, reached 3.9 million tons, consisting of 3.86 million tons of government rice reserves (CBP) and approximately 41 thousand tons of commercial rice reserves.
"This stock has been distributed throughout Indonesia and is ready to be used for purposes or distribution determined by the government," said a Perum Bulog representative at the 2025 Regional Inflation Control Coordination Meeting, Monday (October 6, 2025).
