Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), Indonesia's dry rubber production fluctuated during the 2003-2024 period.
In 2003, dry rubber production amounted to 1.79 million tons. Until 2007, it showed an upward trend, reaching 2.76 million tons that year.
Although it temporarily decreased in 2008-2009, dry rubber production again showed an upward trend from 2010-2013.
From 2014-2015, the trend in dry rubber production fell again, before rising again until 2017, reaching 3.68 million tons. This was the highest achievement during the 2003-2024 period.
From 2018 to 2024, Indonesia's dry rubber production decreased, except in 2021, which saw an increase compared to 2020 production.
In 2024, Indonesia's dry rubber production totaled 2.13 million tons. This comprised 1.94 million tons from smallholder plantations, 101,917 tons from state-owned large plantations, and 87,526 tons from private large plantations.
According to BPS, in 2024, South Sumatra Province was the largest producer of dry rubber in Indonesia, reaching 619,546 tons or 29.06% of national total production.
