Number of Indonesian Poultry Farming Companies Increases in 2024

According to the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the number of poultry farming companies in Indonesia has consistently grown from 2021 to 2024.

In 2024, BPS currently records 865 legally registered poultry farming companies. This figure represents a 27.96% increase compared to 2023, which had 676 units.

Of the 865 poultry farming companies in 2024, 564 operate in cultivation and 301 in breeding, encompassing both egg-laying and meat chickens.

Based on company capital status in 2024, 773 units are categorized as Domestic Investment (PMDN), and 92 units as Foreign Investment (PMA).

Meanwhile, in 2024, 98.6% of the 865 existing companies are poultry farms with PT/CV/firma legal entities.
