Meanwhile, global rice production for the 2021/2022 period is estimated to reach 520.8 million tons, and utilization is estimated at 521 million tons.

During the first half of 2022, food prices in the global market increased, triggering high inflation in many regions.

The increase in global food commodity prices, coupled with the strengthening US dollar exchange rate, has made food import costs more expensive, making it increasingly difficult for poor people in various countries to access food.
