Egg prices in North Maluku reach a record high of Rp 41,750 per kg.

The price of layer chicken eggs in various Indonesian provinces has increased since Christmas and New Year. The production center in North Maluku recorded the highest price, at Rp 41,750 per kilogram on January 10, 2022.

According to a report from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of layer chicken eggs in North Maluku has been static since January 5, 2022. Previously, the price of layer chicken eggs in North Maluku had surged to Rp 46,000 per kilogram on January 2-4, 2022.

The next highest price for chicken eggs was in Maluku, reaching Rp 39,400 per kilogram. Then, the price of chicken eggs in Papua and West Papua was Rp 39,300 per kilogram and Rp 38,050 per kilogram, respectively.

Furthermore, the price of chicken eggs in East Nusa Tenggara reached Rp 37,250 per kilogram, Gorontalo at Rp 32,300, and North Kalimantan at Rp 32,100. Meanwhile, in West Kalimantan, Aceh, and Southeast Sulawesi, the price of layer chicken eggs was Rp 30,600 per kilogram, Rp 30,250 per kilogram, and Rp 29,950 per kilogram, respectively.

The national average price of eggs reached Rp 29,300 per kilogram on January 10, 2022. The lowest price was in Yogyakarta Special Region at Rp 22,500 per kilogram.
