The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that Indonesia's palm oil exports reached 7.67 billion kilograms (kg) from January to April 2024.
This volume decreased by 6.9% year-on-year (yoy) from the previous year's 8.23 billion kg.
The export value reached US$6.7 billion, down 13.18% (yoy) from the previous US$7.71 billion.
India was the largest destination for Indonesian palm oil exports as of April 2024, with a volume of 1.41 billion kg. This volume increased by 21.49% (yoy) from January-April 2023, which amounted to 1.16 billion kg.
Palm oil shipments to India contributed US$6.7 billion, down 13.18% (yoy) from the previous US$7.71 billion.

The second largest export destination was Pakistan with a volume of 921.4 million kg. This volume increased by 29.82% (yoy) from the previous 709.77 million kg.
Third was China, with 862.89 million kg, down 37.32% (yoy) from the 2023 period, which amounted to 1.37 billion kg.
Next was the United States with 539.33 million kg, up 3.85% (yoy) from the previous period's 519.32 million kg. Followed by Bangladesh with 335.16 million kg, down 14.45% (yoy) from the previous 391.76 million kg.
The remaining destinations include Egypt, Italy, and Spain. Below is a list of the top 10 largest export destinations for Indonesian palm oil in January-April 2024:
