Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Thursday, January 25, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (25/1/2024) at 11:57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, farmer-level corn, chicken eggs, red chilies, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp650 (1.96%) to Rp33,790 per kg. Red onion prices decreased the most, by Rp1,150 (4.12%) to Rp26,750 per kg.
