Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Egg and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (2/7/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, Indian mackerel, iodized fine salt, granulated sugar, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, red chili peppers, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp3,560 (30.98%) to Rp15,050 per kg. Red chili peppers experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp2,520 (7.89%) to Rp29,420 per kg.

9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp29,420 per kg (down 7.89%)
