Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Chili and Oil Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (18/12/2024) at 10:40 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, shallots, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp640 (5.83%) to Rp11,620 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp2,680 (6.85%) to Rp36,460 per kg.

8. Mackerel: Rp30,290 per kg (down 2.82%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,480 per kg (down 3.34%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,420 per kg (down 1.24%)
