List of Countries with the Longest Oil and Gas Pipeline Networks in the World

Every day, the world is estimated to consume 100 million barrels of oil and 60 million barrels of natural gas. Transporting this massive amount of oil and gas requires an extremely extensive pipeline network.

Global Energy Monitor reported that at least 2,381 operational oil and gas pipelines were distributed across 162 countries in December 2020. The combined length of these pipelines exceeds 1.18 million km, equivalent to 30 times the Earth's circumference.

The United States is recorded as having the world's longest oil and gas pipeline network, reaching 333,400 kilometers (km). This amount also accounts for 51% of the total length of the world's oil and gas pipelines.

Some of the longest pipelines in the United States include the Keystone Oil Pipeline, which is 3,462 km long with a capacity of 700,000 barrels per day, and the Rockies Express Gas Pipeline, which is 2,702 km long with a capacity of 102 million cubic meters per day.
