Ferry Passengers at Bakauheni Port Down 4.53% in November 2021

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded 16,275 ferry passengers departing from Bakauheni Port, Lampung in November 2021, a 4.53% decrease from the previous month's 17,048 passengers.

Compared to the same period the previous year, which recorded 47,807 passengers, there was also a decrease of 65.96%.

In addition to passengers, the Bakauheni Port ferry crossing also transported vehicles, including motorcycles, buses, sedans and similar vehicles, trucks, and pickup trucks. The number of vehicles departing in November 2021 was recorded at 181,794 units, down 5.68% compared to the previous month's 192,743 units. The highest decrease occurred in the motorcycle category, at 15.82%, from 13,543 units to 11,401 units.

Compared to November 2020, when 176,672 vehicles departed, there was a 2.9% increase. The highest increase occurred in the bus category, at 24.37%, from 5,395 units to 6,710 units.

Meanwhile, cargo loading and unloading at Panjang Port amounted to 1,847,668 tons in November 2021, down 25.83% compared to the previous month's 2,491,064 tons.
