The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reported that 13 National Strategic Projects (PSN) were completed in 2023. Last year, the most completed PSN were dam constructions, totaling six projects. These dam projects comprised the Lolak Dam (North Sulawesi), Tiu Suntuk Dam (West Nusa Tenggara), Karian Dam (Banten), Cipanas Dam (West Java), Sepaku Semoi Dam (East Kalimantan), and Ameroro Dam (Southeast Sulawesi).

Furthermore, four toll road PSN projects were completed last year: Cibitung-Cilincing, Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan, Serpong-Cinere, and Cinere-Jagorawi routes. One Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) project in West Semarang, Central Java; one apartment building project in Halim Perdana Kusuma; and one Self-Reliant Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) project supporting ASEAN Tana Mori and Labuan Bajo were also completed in 2023.

In implementing Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Improvement of Regional Road Connectivity, the PUPR Ministry handled 2,873 kilometers (km) of roads and 2.7 km of bridges with a total cost of Rp14.6 trillion in 2023.

According to PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, this aims to address damaged non-national roads, improve the connectivity of regional roads with national roads and toll roads, and support the development of new economic growth centers.
