Ahead of the 2018 Eid al-Fitr holiday, people are starting to get busy preparing for the annual tradition of returning to their hometowns. If travelers are using private vehicles, they need to know the toll road fares they will encounter and the costs of fuel and family food supplies.
To provide information to the public, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has released a list of toll road fares for group I vehicles on the island of Java for the Eid homecoming route. The toll fare for the Jakarta-Merak route is Rp 48,000, the Jakarta-Ciawi route is Rp 6,500, and the Jakarta-Bandung (Cileunyi) route is Rp 61,500.
Meanwhile, the toll fare for the Jakarta-Semarang route (excluding the Brebes-Pemalang section) is Rp 173,000, and the Semarang-Surabaya toll fare is Rp 171,000. This means that people from Jakarta who want to go home to Surabaya need to spend Rp 344,000. This figure does not include toll fares for the Brebes-Pemalang and Kertosono-Sragen sections.
