This capacity grew by 234% compared to 2014, or increased approximately threefold in the last decade.
IPPs are private power plant companies that have power purchase agreements (PPAs) with PLN.
In these agreements, IPPs act as producers and sellers of electricity, with PLN as the buyer.
In 2023, IPPs contributed 43% to PLN's total electricity supply, with electricity purchases valued at Rp154.83 trillion.
