Wuling's presence in Indonesia has garnered significant attention. The Chinese automotive manufacturer's sales consistently rank among the top 10 best-selling cars, competing with Japanese and other international brands.
According to data from the Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers Association (Gaikindo), Wuling sold 1.24 million units in June 2022. Consequently, Wuling's sales reached 11.26 million units in the first half of the year.
Compared to the first half of the previous year, sales of this automotive brand from the "Bamboo Curtain" country grew by 2.62%. Wuling's sales in the first half of this year also surpassed the first half of 2019 (pre-Covid-19 pandemic) by 7,190 units.
Wuling's sales peaked at 4,570 units in December 2021 and reached their lowest point at only 29 units in April 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic.
