According to the *2023 Airline Index* report released by Bounce, two Indonesian airlines, Lion Air and Wings Air, are ranked among the lowest-rated international airlines globally.
Bounce assessed 52 airlines from various countries offering international flights, including 12 of the largest airlines in the United States.
The assessment was based on several indicators, including on-time performance, flight cancellation rates, food and in-flight entertainment quality, seat comfort, cabin crew service quality, and baggage policies.
Of these indicators, Wings Air received only a score of 0.37 out of 10. This makes the Lion Group subsidiary the lowest-scoring international airline.
"This airline (Wings Air) has the lowest on-time performance rate at 47.69% and the second-highest cancellation rate at 15.91%. This means flying with Wings Air is very risky if you have a tight schedule or connecting flights," Bounce wrote in its report.
Furthermore, Wings Air received a score of 1 out of 5 for in-flight food and entertainment, 3 out of 5 for seat comfort, and 2 out of 5 for flight staff service.
Next is Lion Air, which scored 0.61 points, with an on-time performance rate of 48.76% and a cancellation rate of 20.01%.
The airline with the lion logo received a score of 2 out of 5 for staff service and seat comfort, and 1 out of 5 for food and entertainment.

Batik Air ranked 13th lowest on this list, with a score of 2.48 points. Its on-time performance was recorded at 58.11%, and its cancellation rate at 10.48%.
