PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded 1,075,518 vehicles returning to the Jakarta-Bogor-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area from May 3rd to 7th, 2022 (H+2 to H+4 of Lebaran).
This cumulative traffic figure is from four main toll gates: Cikupa (Merak direction), Ciawi (Puncak direction), Cikampek Utama, and Kalihurip Utama (Trans Java and Bandung direction).
Jasa Marga noted a 58% increase in the total volume of vehicles returning to Jabodetabek compared to the normal traffic volume in November 2021, which was 680,916 vehicles.
Of the total vehicles entering Jabodetabek from H+2 to H+4 of Lebaran, the majority (637,256 vehicles or 59.25%) originated from the east (Trans Java and Bandung).
Meanwhile, 232,914 vehicles (21.66%) came from the west (Merak), and 205,348 vehicles (19.09%) from the south (Puncak).
Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head, Dwimawan Heru, explained that during the H+2 to H+4 Lebaran period, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded that 47%, or 990,000 vehicles, had not yet returned to Jabodetabek.
"We recorded a total of 2 million vehicles leaving Jabodetabek from April 22nd to May 2nd, 2022 (H-10 to H-1). As of yesterday, we recorded approximately 1 million vehicles returning to Jabodetabek, meaning that about 47%, or 990,000 vehicles, have yet to return," said Heru.
