Wuling Sales Reach Highest Level in Two Years

Wuling has captured the attention of Indonesian motor vehicle users. This car manufacturer from China is now competing with automotive manufacturers from Japan, Korea, and Europe.

Based on data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), wholesale sales (from ATPM to dealers) reached 3,003 units in November 2021. This figure is the highest in the last two years.

Wuling's sales in November grew 9.4% compared to the previous month (month-to-month/m-to-m). This increase is the third consecutive increase since September 2021. Compared to November 2020 sales, Wuling sales surged 264% (year-on-year/yoy).

Cumulatively, from January to November 2021, sales of this car company from the People's Republic of China increased more than fivefold (408%) compared to the same period the previous year (cumulative-to-cumulative/c-to-c).

Until the end of November 2021, Wuling's market share was 2.9% of the total national car sales of 790,524 units (wholesale). Meanwhile, for retail sales (from dealers to consumers), Wuling's automotive market share reached 2.8% of the total sales of 761,861 units.
