What are the Mitsubishi Xpander car sales figures?

Since its introduction mid-last year, the Mitsubishi Xpander has captured the attention of the Indonesian public. As a result, in 2018, this Japanese automotive manufacturer's car led domestic automotive sales.

The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (GAIKINDO) recorded sales of the Mitsubishi Xpander reaching 13,070 units during the September-December 2017 period. Then, in the first four months of this year, 29,069 units were sold, bringing the total sales of the car, which won the "Car of the Year" award at the 2018 Otomotif Award in March 2018, to 42,139 units.

Mitsubishi Xpander sales have consistently exceeded 7,000 units since the beginning of the year, reaching a peak of 7,097 units in March 2018. Consequently, during the January-April period of this year, Mitsubishi Xpander sales outperformed those of the Toyota Avanza (28,330 units) and the Toyota Calya (21,535 units).
