Data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) indicates that Hyundai electric vehicle wholesale sales are projected to exceed 6,800 units between January and November 2023.
The Ioniq 5 Signature Extended was the best-selling electric vehicle from the South Korean manufacturer, with 5,778 units sold wholesale between January and November 2023.
As of November 2023, sales reached 606 units, a slight decrease from October 2023's 609 units. Over the 11 months of 2023, the highest Ioniq 5 sales occurred in May 2023, with a volume of 857 units.
The second best-selling Hyundai electric vehicle was the Ioniq 5 Prime Extended, with 439 units sold. This was followed by the Ioniq 5 Signature Reguler with 279 units.
Interestingly, the Ioniq 6, recently launched in Indonesia, made the top five with sales of 260 units. This vehicle, awarded the World Car of the Year 2023 by the World Car Awards, is priced at a staggering Rp1.19 billion, according to Mobil123.com.
The next best-selling electric vehicle was the Ioniq 5 Prime Reguler, with a total of 54 units sold between January and November 2023.
Overall, Hyundai vehicle sales reached 32,592 units during this period. Its market share reached 3.5% of total car sales in Indonesia.
