Indonesia has been a Boeing customer since 1969. Demand for Boeing aircraft comes not only from airlines but also from the Indonesian military.
According to Boeing data, a total of 305 aircraft have been delivered to Indonesia between 1969 and 2018. This represents approximately 48% of Indonesia's total orders of 637 aircraft.
The highest number of aircraft deliveries to Indonesia occurred in 2015, reaching 35 units. Of these, 30 were for Lion Air, 3 for Garuda Indonesia, and 2 for Sriwijaya Air.
By customer, the American aircraft manufacturer has delivered 200 aircraft to Lion Air. This accounts for 65.57% of the total aircraft delivered to Indonesia.
The next largest delivery was to Garuda Indonesia, a state-owned Indonesian airline, with 99 units or 32.46% of the total. Three Boeing aircraft were also delivered to Indonesia for the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU).
Two aircraft were delivered to Sriwijaya Air and one to Pelita Air Service.
