The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) is holding a Free Homecoming Transportation program for Eid al-Fitr 2024.
This program is also available for people intending to go home ("mudik") and bring their motorcycles.
"Besides passengers, we will also transport their motorcycles for free, so they can be used for mobility at their destination," said Kemenhub Spokesperson Adita Irawati, as reported by the Dephub.go.id website on Thursday (29/2/2024).
Adita also urged people not to travel long distances on motorcycles for homecoming, considering the very high potential for accidents.
"We hope people will use public transportation or take advantage of this free homecoming program," said Adita.
