Whoosh High-Speed Rail Dynamic Pricing, Effective February 2024

The Indonesia-China High-Speed Rail Company (KCIC) will implement a dynamic pricing scheme for the Whoosh high-speed train starting February 3, 2024. This flexible pricing allows passengers to obtain Whoosh tickets at lower prices at certain times.

"Under this new scheme, several different fares for a Whoosh journey are possible in a single day," said KCIC General Manager of Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, in an official statement on Sunday (January 28, 2024).

Therefore, Premium Economy class tickets for the Whoosh High-Speed Train will be sold in five fare brackets:

* Rp150,000
* Rp175,000
* Rp200,000
* Rp225,000
* Rp250,000

The dynamic pricing for the Whoosh High-Speed Train will depend on several factors, including peak and off-peak hours, high and low seasons, and weekdays versus weekends.

"Higher fares will be offered during high season or peak hours; conversely, lower fares will be offered during off-peak times," said Eva.

Those wishing to use the Whoosh High-Speed Train can book tickets through the Whoosh application, the website ticket.kcic.co.id, and official counters at the stations. Tickets can also be booked through partner applications such as Access by KAI, Livinn by Mandiri, BRImo, and BNI Mobile Banking.
