The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the number of domestic flight passengers in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province reached 144,310 in November 2021. This figure increased by 29.1% from the previous month, which recorded 111,780 passengers.
Compared to the same period the previous year, the number of passengers in November 2021 increased by 6.8%. More specifically, the number of arriving domestic flight passengers in November 2021 was 69,731, a rise of 18.65% from the previous month. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of arriving domestic passengers decreased by 0.85%.
Meanwhile, the number of departing domestic flight passengers reached 74,578, a 40.68% increase from the previous month. Compared to the same period the previous year, the number of departing domestic passengers increased by 15.09%.
In November 2021, there were no recorded international passenger arrivals or departures. The same condition occurred in the previous month, October 2021.
However, compared to the same period the previous year, both arriving and departing international passengers showed a 100% decrease. This is because in November 2020, there were 1,144 arriving passengers and 2 departing passengers. The closure of direct flights to and from overseas is the reason for the absence of international passenger arrivals and departures.
