Indonesia's Most Imported Car Brands in the First Quarter of 2026

According to data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), Indonesia imported 16,712 units of cars in the first quarter of 2026.

The volume decreased by 52.85% compared to the first quarter of last year (cumulative-to-cumulative/ctc), which reached 35,445 units.

This data refers to imported cars in the completely built up (CBU) category, or complete cars assembled in their country of origin.

In the first quarter of 2026, Toyota became the manufacturer that sent the most imported cars to Indonesia. The volume reached 8,981 units, or 54% of the total national car imports.

Still from Japanese manufacturers, the next positions are occupied by Mitsubishi Motors and Suzuki, which each sent 1,738 units and 1,441 units of cars to Indonesia respectively.

10. FAW: 216 units

There are several manufacturers that did not send imported cars to Indonesia in the first quarter of 2026, namely Subaru, UD Truck, Hino, Baic, Morris Garage, Vinfast, Denza, Geely, Xpeng, Maxus, and Kia.
