Toyota, the Largest Car Manufacturer in Indonesia in the Q1 2026

Based on data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), the car production volume in Indonesia reached 290,941 units in the first quarter of 2026.

The volume increased by 0.6% compared to the first quarter of 2025 (year-on-year/yoy), where the production was 289,300 units.

In the first quarter of 2026, Toyota became the largest car manufacturer in Indonesia with a production of 131,406 units, equivalent to 45% of the total national production.

Still from Japanese manufacturers, the next rankings are held by Mitsubishi Motors, which produced 45,558 units, and Daihatsu with 34,657 units.

Here is a list of the 10 largest car manufacturers in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2026:

4. Suzuki: 20,477 units
5. Hyundai: 12,540 units
6. Honda: 10,432 units
7. Jaecoo: 7,899 units
8. Mitsubishi Fuso: 7,464 units
9. Isuzu: 6,708 units
10. Wuling: 4,458 units

Gaikindo also noted that there are a number of manufacturers that did not produce cars in Indonesia during this period, namely Mini, Morris Garage, Baic, and Maxus.
