According to the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), domestic wholesale car sales in July 2025 reached 60,552 units.

This figure represents a 4.76% month-on-month (MoM) increase. However, it shows a significant year-on-year (YoY) decline of 18.42% compared to July 2024, which recorded 74,230 units.

Gaikindo Chairman I, Jongkie Sugiarto, stated that the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, held from July 24 to August 2025, positively impacted monthly four-wheeled vehicle sales.

"The presence of GIIAS 2025 resulted in a considerable increase in purchasing power and sales. Hopefully, this positive trend will continue until the end of the year," said Jongkie in a statement, as reported by Kompas.com on Thursday (August 7, 2025).

Cumulatively, wholesale sales from January to July 2025 totaled 435,390 units. This figure is still 10.08% lower than the same period last year (cumulative-to-cumulative/CTC), which reached 484,250 units.

"To date, there have been no recent discussions regarding adjustments to this year's sales target," Jongkie added.

In July 2025, Toyota remained the top-selling car manufacturer in Indonesia, recording 18,905 wholesale units.

Daihatsu and Honda followed, with wholesale sales of 10,451 units and 5,235 units, respectively.
