Best-Selling Pickup Car Brands in Indonesia in the First Half of 2025

Pick-up cars are vehicles with an open rear cabin designed to carry large amounts of cargo.

According to data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), wholesale sales of pick-up cars in the domestic market totaled 43,648 units in the first half of 2025.

In the first half of this year, the Daihatsu Gran Max PU was the best-selling pick-up cars in Indonesia. This Japanese manufacturer recorded 16,062 wholesale units, a combined total of the 1.3 and 1.5 models.

Next was the Suzuki New Carry with 11,455 wholesale units, followed by the Mitsubishi L300 with 5,659 units.

The following is a complete list of wholesale sales of pick-up cars in Indonesia in 2024:

1. Daihatsu Gran Max PU: 16,062 units

2. Suzuki New Carry: 11,455 units

3. Mitsubishi L300: 5,659 units

4. Isuzu PHR: 4,973 units

5. Toyota Hilux: 3,291 units

6. Mitsubishi Triton: 1,203 units

7. Wuling Formo Max: 633 units

8. DFSK Supercap: 315 units

9. Isuzu D-MAX: 57 units

Overall, in the first half of 2025, wholesale sales of all vehicle types in Indonesia totaled 374,740 units. Pick-up cars contributed 12% to total national sales.
