Electric Vehicles Boost Wuling's Sales in Indonesia, First Half of 2025

According to data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), Wuling's wholesales volume in the domestic market reached 8,258 units in the first half of 2025.

Sales volume decreased by 3.05% compared to the first half of last year, which recorded 8,518 units.

In the first half of 2025, electric vehicles (EVs) were the main driver of Wuling's sales.

The Air EV was the best-selling model with wholesale sales of 2,497 units, followed by the Cloud EV with 1,384 units and the Binguo EV with 1,289 units.

The following is a complete list of Wuling's wholesale vehicle sales in Indonesia in the first half of 2025:

1. Air EV: 2,497 units

2. Cloud EV: 1,384 units

3. Binguo EV: 1,289 units

4. Alvez: 882 units

5. Confero: 828 units

6. Formo: 761 units

7. Cortez: 439 units

8. Almaz: 178 units

Currently, the Indonesian government is also encouraging Wuling to sell a 7-seater electric vehicle for around Rp 300 million, which is considered suitable for the needs of domestic consumers.

"So, you [Wuling] have to bring a seven-seater car, and that seven-seater car has to be affordable," said Rachmat Kaimuddin, Deputy for Basic Infrastructure Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure, during a speech at Wuling's eight-year business anniversary celebration in Cikarang, Bekasi, as reported by CNN Indonesia (July 13, 2025).

He stated that the Indonesian market has a strong preference for large-capacity family vehicles.
