What is public interest in this mode of transportation?
According to a survey by Kurious-Katadata Insight Center (KIC), 71.1% of respondents are interested in trying the high-speed rail. This breaks down to 45.1% interested and 26% very interested.
On the other hand, 22.5% of respondents are not interested in trying this transportation in the near future, comprising 5.7% very uninterested and 16.8% uninterested. Another 6.4% of respondents answered "don't know."
This Kurious-KIC survey involved 734 respondents from various regions in Indonesia, with 52.7% female and 47.3% male respondents.
Most respondents (63.2%) were from Java Island outside of Jakarta, and the dominant age group was 35-44 years old (33.1%).
Data collection was conducted from June 26 to July 3, 2023, using computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI), with a margin of error of approximately 3.61% and a confidence level of 95%.
