According to a Clean Technica report, global electric vehicle (EV) sales reached 1.84 million units in November 2024, a 32% year-on-year (YoY) increase.
In November 2024, the Tesla Model Y remained the top-selling electric vehicle globally, with sales of 106,293 units, a 5% YoY increase.
Eight out of the top 10 best-selling electric vehicle models during this period were from Chinese manufacturers, BYD and Wuling.
One of the best-selling models was the BYD Song/Seal U, which ranked second with sales of 69,537 units. This figure combines sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Meanwhile, the Wuling Mini EV climbed to 6th place globally with sales of 35,000 units. According to Clean Technica, this is its best performance since 2022.

The Clean Technica report states that the global electric vehicle market is still dominated by China. In November 2024, China accounted for over 70% of global electric vehicle sales.
