This comedy film, which debuted in 1990, tells the story of Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), an 8-year-old boy accidentally left home alone while his family vacations in France.

Initially feeling free, the mood changes when a group of burglars tries to break in, forcing Kevin to find ways to defend himself.

Thanks to its success, this film by John Hughes was developed into a franchise with a total of 6 films.

In second place is *The Grinch* (2018), which grossed US$271.47 million, or Rp4.38 trillion.

This animated film tells the story of the Grinch (Benedict Cumberbatch), a cynical green creature who dislikes Christmas due to childhood trauma and loneliness while living in an orphanage.
